Adobe Photoshop Beginner tools

Photoshop Tools in 2 minutes     This video is a simple overview of the tools in photoshop and it is about two minutes long. The video is really short but the tools seem similar to the ones in Adobe Illustrator. The pen tool, rectangle tool, ellipse tool, magnifying glass tool, and even the paintbrush tool seem reminiscent to the tools in Illustrator, as stated before, and will not be difficult to use again. One tool that seems different is the clone stamp tool which samples a point from the selected area with the Alt or Option key, and click and then you can paint that sample in another area. This tool seems like it will be relatively easy to use as well, probably because we used Illustrator first, and it just does not look difficult to use. How to Use Adobe Photoshop - Tools Explained      This video breaks down all of the tools that the creator found that he used the most when working with Photo...

Propaganda Self Portrait

Final Image is above Original Selfie: Inspirational Images (with links): Pin on Art prints (pinterest.es) COVID-19 Toolkit for Community and Faith-Based Organizations | CDC "We Can Do It!" | National Museum of American History (si.edu)      This propaganda self portrait poster was inspired by the Rosie the Riveter "We Can Do It" World War II poster. When this poster was put around warehouses and such it was almost meant to have a sort of comradery between women in the workforce. This was used for inspiration as it is important to work together during theses challenging times throughout the pandemic. It is important for everyone to do their part as together we can change our ways for a healthier future.      The main idea was to match the colors and symbolism that the Rosie poster gives off, but to bring it forward towards recent events mainly, the pandemic. The mask matches the polka dotted bandana from the original, the clothes are in...

Logo Project

Final Logo Design: Sketch's: Inspiration Images (with links): Link:  Beach At Night Wallpapers - Wallpaper Cave -about the twenty-seventh image from the top Link:  Easy Beach Drawing at GetDrawings | Free download     This project was meant to create a logo that was an expression of yourself. The overall idea was not to choose objects or ideas that we liked, but something that represented us personally. The night sky is present in my design along with the waves from the ocean and the sand from the beach. The moon is linking all of these aspects together by being placed in the middle of the design. It is meant to represent how I personally feel more motivated at night and capture the sereneness that is seeing the beach at night.      All four pieces of this logo are meant to work together in order to create a peaceful atmosphere. The dark comforting sky, the calmness of the tides, the everchanging landscape of the beach, and the ever lo...

Adobe Illustrator: Calligram Project

Image
Final Project: Estimated Time: 6.5 hours      The art piece that I created is a calligram piece that was inspired by a cardinal. I chose a cardinal as my main (and only) inspiration as seeing this bird reminds me of home and gives a relaxing feeling that I can only describe as happiness. Whenever I see one of these birds I know that everything is going to be alright in the end. I felt this was fitting for my “20 years in the future letter” as I hope that, at the very least, I will be happy then. To achieve this final design I used mainly the pen tool and type tool from Adobe Illustrator. The project mostly consisted of me drawing shapes and then fitting the words into them with different fonts or merging the words with the shapes completely. Cardinals help remind me of home and of simpler times and I hope that, that feeling will resonate as time goes on. Adobe Illustrator Beginner Tools

Pen Tool:     The pen tool seems like both a complex and simple mechanism. The reason it seems like both is that in the beginning it will be difficult to learn and how to use it, but once you get the hang of it, it will be a great asset. The video gives a great outline on how to make more basic shapes such as polygons and triangles but it also shows how to make Bezier curves, lettering, and how to maneuver the tool to your advantage. Since the pen tool seems to be the base tool, it would be used for seemingly most of the starting projects or art pieces that involve curves or breaks in between shapes and lines. There is a neat trick where the narrator in the video says you can use control or command on the keyboard to move the points around, which I think is helpful to know. The narrator even states in the video that learning to use the tool will be difficult at first, but to keep practicing as it will eventually click. Lastly, the narrator gives good tips about not ...
