Propaganda Self Portrait

Inspirational Images (with links):

This propaganda self portrait poster was inspired by the Rosie the Riveter "We Can Do It" World War II poster. When this poster was put around warehouses and such it was almost meant to have a sort of comradery between women in the workforce. This was used for inspiration as it is important to work together during theses challenging times throughout the pandemic. It is important for everyone to do their part as together we can change our ways for a healthier future.
The main idea was to match the colors and symbolism that the Rosie poster gives off, but to bring it forward towards recent events mainly, the pandemic. The mask matches the polka dotted bandana from the original, the clothes are in blue to once again mimic it, and the background colors are also of the same variety. The font is not the same, but it is as close as it can be to the original. It is meant to look similar to the Original "We Can Do It" but still have its own meaning to it and bring back the reader to the main point which is about masking. We have to work together in order to successfully overcome this, and hopefully that comes across in the poster.
